This summer will go down as one of the driest in our memories. When he rained it was needed badly so no one complained; even if it was on their wedding day. Neil and Elise decided to get married on Neil’s family farm in Prince Edward County where they spend their summers. Camping, having a fire listening to someone play guitar, swimming and walks in the woods are among their favorite things to do on here so they incorporated almost everything into their wedding (except the fire – there was a fire ban even in the rain)
We held off the ceremony for a while in hopes the weather would move along (as it did several times during the day) but it didn’t so they were married inside the tent instead of down near the pond… I can’t tell you how relieved they both were that they’d decided to do a first look earlier in the day. It really does relieve the nerves and if weather doesn’t cooperate and you decide to hold off the ceremony, you can at least mingle with your guests and have a shot of vodka with Grandma (see below)
A wonderful day full of love, laughs and beers… my kinda folks.
