Heather and Korey live in Durham Region and decided on the comfort of the Crystal Palace in Picton for their Wedding day …well.. not just a single day but a vacation for a whole bunch of their closest friends and family including a week of pre-wedding celebrations with tours of The County wineries and attractions.
Their quirky combined sense of humor (evident in their choice of grand entrance music/dance – the Carlton and Fresh Prince of Bel Air dance routine – “Jump on it”) to their selection of wedding theme – “Converse and Funnel Cake” (hello! I was destined to shoot this wedding), to the simple lavender decor (her bouquet and the aisle pieces) were all clearly inspired by their idea of having a simple, fun, family oriented wedding. The handfasting ceremony, literally tying the knot on their wrists, featured everyone in attendance tying ribbons around their wrists as a show of support for this wonderful couple.
A lifetime of happiness with Magoo, you two. It was an honor to be part of your day.
Huge thanks to Gerald McGrath of GPM Photography for 2nd shooting this day with me – some of the images below are his.
